Back to Earth

Some beautiful spring flowers from no. 1 son Mike and partner Vicki.

                          Promises of Spring.......    .........      ................

..............      ...............      ready to spring forth!

.............a terrible mess left in the sewing room following our return......

.......but hints of plans in the creative pipe-line. Some wool purchased Down Under.

See the direction in which my culinary thoughts are heading! I'm obviously on a health kick..

And look who's come to visit for a couple of days! Meet Maddie, the Sharpei. Super-lovely girl.

A quick pictorial post today, getting myself back to normal, trying to pick up the threads of my everyday life - and finding it has taken longer than it did two years ago. Oh dear, a sign of the Ageing Process I fear! Catch up with you soon!

I've just scrolled through your wonderful trip to NZ, looks amazing. I hope you are starting to feel more settled since you came back. Thank you also for your lovely chatter and comments on my blog, your words are wise and wonderful. Here's to sunshine and spring...bring it on! xoxPenelope

    1. Hi Penelope, it has been so cheering to have at least clear skies and sunshine to come back to, mitigating ever so slightly the awful cold. Yes, hard getting my act together this time, feel slightly out of kilter, disorganised, at a loose end, so to speak. But it will all fall into place, I'm sure. Jim has just told me it is 16 degrees in Auckland - and it's only 0630 there! Ah well, we have spring to look forward to! Lxx

    1. Well hello, Mrs G.H.! Sorry I can't be less formal, but lovely to have you visit. I am crossing my fingers and fervently hoping you are right! We had a lvely spring last year, didn't we - then a terrible summer. PLEASE let us just have some proper seasons with the right amount of rain and sunshine!!

BTW, I don't see a blog in your profile, but let me know if you do start one, won't you. Lx

  4. Welcome back! I know you had a wonderful time in NZ. Now it's back to the everyday. I totally understand about taking longer to get back in the swing of things. It's take me a week after only a weekend trip to visit the grandbabies. Your trip would put me out of commission for a month! :) Anyway, glad you had a safe trip back. I enjoyed all your posts from your trip.

    Hugs,
    Sharon

  6. Lovely to have you back Lynne, although I did enjoy reading about adventures down under!

I do like the look of your work space - like you mean business when you're there! - and the view from the window :)

    1. Thanks Annie! Oh no! Don't 'like' my desk! I would have to clear it totally before I set to work on anything. Because of our comings and goings it has become a bit of a dumping ground, but it is on the 'URGENT: To-Do' list, honest!

    1. Hi Claire, thanks, we are just about getting used to the cold, in fact last night I had to throw the duvet back now and again (But that's just me, temperature control out of control!!) it just didn't feel quite so wincingly cold as last week.
