I'm back, hang on!

some of my carved eraser stamps

Hello there, just a random photo of some of the earliest images I made from carving eraser stamps. And a very short post indeed! After leaving Ireland I had a really bad back...yes,again. Seems to be a weak spot. Also had a lot of bits and pieces to do for my mum. Anyway, never mind. Just to say I AM back, and will be posting very soon about Ireland and postcards and some textiley stuff. Have been very remiss on checking out your blogs I'm afraid, but am getting to back into the Old Routine and will get down to sorting my photos later today.

Meanwhile, hope you are not too waterlogged where you are, how much more rain can there be up there??

    1. Ha! Sue, thanks a lot. But you know I LOVE the idea of them being ERASURE stamps! (sorry, trumpeting your typo to the world, but it was such a good one!!)

  4. Good to see you back. Hope your back will soon be better - backs are so frustrating aren't they as they affect everything you try to do. Glad to say that although the TV news might indicate that Somerset is under water here in our little bit we are dry though there were a couple of big puddles on my walk to yoga yesterday. (Yoga now that's a thought - my back has been much better since I took up yoga have you tried it?)

    1. Ah, glad you aren't flooded out. Now yoga, yes, I've 'done' yoga several times over the past 35 or so years, and I do enjoy it when I go...but I just don't seem to be very consistent with the things that will be good for me. Why is that? I KNOW it would be good for. Also Pilates...though I've never tried that. So many things to try, where does the time go to? Lx.

  5. Glad you are back! I was only wondering yesterday where you have been as I hadn't seen you in blogland for a little while. Hope that your back is ok.

    1. Hi Claire, yes you wonder whether anyone will remember you! Back is better than before, just niggling. (sigh) they seem to linger if you're prone to 'backs', don't they?

  6. Hello Lynne, Thank you for this lovely post. I so enjoyed tagging along with you on your trip. I would like nothing better than to visit the UK someday, but that just may not be in our budget . . . so thank you so much for sharing. I like how the sky and fields all have this blue, green and grey look to them, all soft and clam . . . and then there is a building that jumps out in bright sunny yellow. It's like it is saying . . . hey there, put a smile on and be happy.
I also absolutely love your journal pages and your postcards are brilliant. You probably get tried of hearing how wonderful I think your art is . . . I just can't seem to get enough.
Have a marvelous day, Connie :)

    1. Hi Connie, thank you for a lovely comment! I'm a bit taken aback, to be honest, by the comments made about my journals, I have never thought they were specially good, just enjoyed doing them. But I mus say I am so very pleased the way the post cards have turned out.

You know I was just talking to a friend at a music session tonight and he remarked about the curious blue /purpley shades in the skies in Ireland, exactly as you have said here. It's a very special place, and I look forward to going back. Lx.
